It would normally take weeks to create a communications proposal to change behaviour, so how would you feel if you had to produce one in just a few hours?
This was the challenge put to teams who entered the PharmaTimes Communications Team of the Year Awards 2017, which took place at the London Marriot Hotel in Mayfair last month.
Twelve teams representing healthcare communications agencies across the country came together in a bid to claim the prestigious PharmaTimes Team of the Year title in either the NHS Challenge or the International Challenge.
Our Pegasus team elected to enter the NHS category, and had just two hours after receiving the brief to prepare, before pitching their proposal to a judging panel of senior industry marketers and communications specialists. The team had just 45 minutes to impress the judges with their proposal and answer any questions from the floor.
Despite the intense and time-pressured environment, the team rose to the challenge admirably and enjoyed getting stuck into the brief. Stuart Hehir, creative director at Pegasus, said that excellent teamwork on the day brought out the best in the individual team members, and was crucial to achieving the goal within the time limit.
“It was a tough challenge but a really good way to put our CHANGE approach to campaign planning to the test” said Stuart. “It was fantastic to show what we can come up with in a very short space of time.”
Results will be announced at the PharmaTimes Awards Dinner & Presentation on 9th November. Fingers crossed!
